Ko-Fi Welcome Onboarding Email
Introduction
- Overview – Ko-fi is a friendly way to ask fans to support your work for the price of a coffee.
- Challenge – The challenge was t improve the onboarding email experience.
- Approach – I performed preliminary research of brand and users to develop a stronger welcome message.
- Results – The end product is an improved welcome email with brand identity, human empathy, and a call to action.
Email Onboarding
Users often know that an email campaign has been used, but it doesn't mean that your emails have to feel robotic and impersonal.

This welcome email feels as if it's from a bot. After the initial sign-up, the welcome email sets the
stage for what type of interaction users can expect.
Results
To improve the email onboarding experience, I added personalization, human empathy, brand identity, and a call to action. Right from the beginning, I wanted the user to feel part of the Ko-fi community and get help on what to do next.

Next Steps
Based on the research that was conducted, these are my recommended changes:
- Personalize subject line
- Add branding identity with fonts, colors, logos, and art
- Create a clear path forward with a call-to-action
- Add human empathy
- Add a more generalized footer with links
